ART

Behind the scenes of ART BLOG #01 "Dear Mr. Mayor..."

Last week I embarked on my most ambitious art project of the year... I sent out 10 letters to 10 city mayors along with a gift of an 11x14 "City Drawing" of their city. I will update you all when I hear back from them!

Current Progress of my latest "City Drawing" LAS VEGAS, Nevada!

This week, I'd like to share with you my current project which I've been working on for the past few months. Ever since I started to draw cities I've received requests to have greeting cards, postcards, t-shirts, puzzles, and other gift/souvenir type items made from my "City Drawings". I decided that it was time to try making these items a reality and it was really special for me to be able to hold in my hand a greeting card and puzzle with one of my drawings printed on it! It was like a dream come true and instantly my mind was full of ideas of how marketable this could be for ALL the cities I have drawn and will draw! My focus these past few years has been on selling prints of my art, but this moves me into a whole different area of exciting possibilities...

Below are examples of what I've purchased so far and what will soon be available at my ONLINE STORE

PHOTOGRAPHY

I had the opportunity to walk around #MuertosFest at the La Villita Historic Arts Village in downtown San Antonio this past weekend for Dia de los Muertos! This is one of my favorite San Antonio celebrations and I hope you enjoy the photos I was able to take.

More of my photography from this weekend and my past adventures can be found in my archive of more than 10,300 posts on my TUMBLR

MUSIC

As you may remember from ART BLOG #01, I shared my goal of having my original songs recorded soon. Well, here is the unofficial list of songs! I'd also love to be able to perform these LIVE to a small intimate group of friends, but I'm not too sure how to go about either of these endeavors... as always, any advice or suggestions are appreciated!

And in case you'd like to hear a sampling of my music, take a listen below!

Eight Years in Texas!

...It was the summer of 2007
I had just returned
from my second trip to Israel...

I decided to move from my childhood home state of California and move to....

T E X A S

My new life began in the beautiful city of Austin...

This is the first photo I took in Texas!

Austin is the Live Music Capital of the WORLD
What better place for a musician like me?!

Here are some photos from my first few years in the #ATX

(for more photos from Austin please visit my links below!)

I called Austin my home for about three years and during that time the city began to grow (upwards and in population) and many new buildings were constructed. It was a city changing every day and this mirrored events in my own life. Then, in 2010 I moved to...

S A N   A N T O N I O

I was seeking stability and consistency in my life and San Antonio with it's rich history, a skyline that has not changed for years, and a resilient economy provided a healthy and fertile soil for me to put down roots.

When I first moved to San Antonio I had only been to the Alamo City once and didn't know anything about it except what everyone seems to know: Remember the Alamo? and the Riverwalk...

Here's some photos from my first visit to Downtown San Antonio!

I was determined to get to know the city of San Antonio and began by spending my first week in the city exploring, going to the different parts of town, touring all of the museums and famous places, and after starting my new job, spent all of my days off driving around, continuing to explore, and I sought out the beautiful, hidden gems, and cultural spots in the city. What I found, was that San Antonio is one of the most inspirational cities with it's organic production of stunning art, music, fashion, entrepreneurship, and culture!

Here are some photos from my many trips
exploring San Antonio these past 5 years...
