"WHY I LOVE SAN ANTONIO"
PART 5/5 - ART
I begin this very special (and very lengthy) blog post dedicated to the ART of San Antonio at the Botanical Gardens where every year the Blue Star Arts loans out pieces of art.
Featured here are three years' worth of art installations
I've had the privilege to photograph while visiting the gardens.

Down the street from the San Antonio Botanical Garden is the Witte Museum
And a few blocks up the street, off Broadway, is the magnificent McNay Art Museum
Heading towards Downtown San Antonio, one can find the San Antonio Museum of Art.
I'll never forget my first visit to the museum. I was first struck by the fact they offered free parking! I walked inside and during the entire two hours or more that I walked around I was in complete shock, speechless, and overwhelmed at the immense display of art from all over the world. I left with a sense of wonder, a heaviness in my heart, and my eyes felt like they couldn't handle seeing any more beauty....
My personal favorite part of our city- DOWNTOWN! With all of its incredible public art!
Even our Central Library has art in it!
For those studying art, there's the Southwest School of Art
near the beautiful Central Library!
And for those interested in purchasing art from local artists, visit the shops at La Villita!

Now, from the Riverwalk we visit the soon to be revamped Hemisfair Park!
(NOTE: Since the park is being renovated, these pieces of art
may or may not still be at this location... so go check it out soon!)
Down the street from Hemisfair is the Blue Star Arts complex!
San Antonio is a thriving city full of beautiful new and exciting art.
Whether North, South, East, or West- this is a city of art.
Another of the many reasons why I LOVE SAN ANTONIO!!
If you're reading this, thank you so much for reading and admiring the photos I've taken around our city.
